Shifts: Starts Monday - Friday; 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM. After training,
12-hour rotating schedule of 4 days on (2 12-hour days and 2 12-hour
nights) then 4 days off.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Requires a High School degree, GED, or equivalent,
with a formal apprenticeship program desired. Oregon State Limited
Manufacturing License or better, a valid driver's license, and tools by
the trade all required.
Experience in a high RPM continuous manufacturing process control
environment with PCs, PLCs, AC/DC drives and motors is required. Must be
able to read and comprehend schematics, construction for an industrial
process control strategy, troubleshoot, install and repair electronic
drives and motors and PLCs, and have knowledge of industrial safety
practices in a heavy industrial process manufacturing facility. Shift
work, overtime, call-in, and weekend work is required in this 24-hour
operation. Pulp and paper experience desirable but not required.
Blue Heron Paper Company administers general aptitude tests. Applicants
must have the ability to communicate fluently (read, write and speak) in
English. All employment is contingent upon the successful completion of
a pre-employment drug screen.
